Consultants: Structural Engineer - Louis Shell Structures
Sustainable highlights: Green roof, energy efficient building envelope, passive solar strategies.
This custom home upends the typical rowhouse stacked floor orientation with split-level floors throughout connected by half flights of stairs. This "split-level rowhouse" configuration expands spatial connections between the floors. The living room which overlooks the dining and kitchen level a half floor below cantilevers over the front entry walk with a wall of glass connecting a front porch that overlooks the street. Split level living continues at the roof top terrace and sky-deck creating a dynamic private outdoor space overlooking the city skyline.
